But that’s exactly the challenge accepted by Todd Eagan of GT MotoCycles in building the seriously stripped-down and brutally efficient GTM-01 for attacking apexes and delivering the sort of visceral thrill that unites riders, and respects both the iconic past and a unique. They started with the venerable chassis Guzzi Tonti, then reduced to a minimum, strengthened and coupled to the single-arm mono-arm CARC swingarm, and wedged in the largest and most powerful GTM engine Guzzi worked to date. Our GTM-01 is a one-of-one build, offering 140+ horsepower and a semi-wet 400-pound weight similar to a superbike. Our very first proof-of-concept GTM® build was an exercise in merging Moto Guzzi’s most venerable twin shock Tonti frame to their modern monoshock single-sided-swing-arm CARC rising rate suspension, all while focused on lightning and strengthening, and mating one of the most powerful normally aspirated GTM Griso 8V motors @1380cc and 6-spd gearboxes to date.
